AI Features Notice

The AI Studio is an optional extra that lets you transform your photo with a short prompt. This notice explains how it works in plain words.

1. Optional, and only after you pay

• No AI is used before payment. Everything you do before checkout (typing, choosing styles, uploading and cropping a photo) runs in your browser.
• After you pay, you can open the AI Studio from your order confirmation, within 4 hours. You don't have to.
• If you don't open it, nothing waits: your order goes into production as you designed it.
• If you open it, your order waits for you for up to 48 hours. If you don't choose a version by then, we print your original design.

2. What is sent, and to whom

When you use the AI Studio, we send your photo and your prompt to third-party AI image models through OpenRouter, a service that routes requests to model providers. They process them to create your edit and send the result back. We don't send your name, address or payment details.

3. What AI can and can't change

AI only ever edits the photo layer. Names, dates and other text are set by our own editor from exactly what you typed, so AI can't misspell them.

4. Your original is always there

Your original photo is always one tap away. You choose which version gets printed, and nothing AI-made is printed unless you pick it.

5. Results vary

AI results can be unpredictable and may not look like what you had in mind. Try a different prompt, or keep your original. A result you don't like isn't a defect, but you're never obliged to use it.

6. Moderation

Prompts and results are checked against our Content & IP Policy. Requests for celebrities, logos, characters, nudity, hate or other prohibited content are refused.

7. No training on your images

We don't use your photos, prompts or AI results to train AI models. We choose model providers whose terms don't allow them to train on what we send through our account, and we'll keep checking this.

8. Credit

• Each order comes with about $1 of AI usage credit. Different edits use different amounts, and the studio shows what you have left.
• Credit has no cash value, can't be transferred or exchanged, expires when your order goes into production, and isn't refundable on its own.

9. Retention

AI-generated images are deleted along with your uploads, 90 days after delivery, or sooner if you ask. See our Privacy Policy.
